Reminder: Dallas WOV This Saturday

Our Dallas Women of Virtue conference is approaching fast!  The event is this Saturday, October 15th from 8:30am to 3:15pm at Woodcreek Church in Richardson, TX.  Click here for info and registration.

We’re thrilled to have speaker and author Shannon Ethridge with us again to bring her message of redemption, purpose, and hope to women of all ages.  Click the audio player below to listen to a portion of Shannon’s story as she shared it to the women at our 2011 Cincinnati WOV.

Along with Shannon, the conference will feature worship and outstanding seminar leaders who will equip you to pursue healing, sexual integrity, and intimacy with God.  If you are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we hope you will join us this Saturday.

Sex Trafficking in Seattle

A group of guys out on the West Coast who love God and cannot tolerate the buying and selling of girls are making a difference by producing a documentary on sex trafficking in Seattle.  Rape for Profit is their project to expose the injustice occurring in their city every night and day, and though it is still in production, they’ve already compiled an impressive archive of interviews from experts and activists around the country.

Click here to watch their interview with pureHOPE’s Noel Bouché about the ways in which porn and sex trafficking are connected, and watch the trailer to get a sense of the power and potential of this project.

Laura Lederer Connects the Dots

We are privileged to call Laura Lederer a friend.  She is the founder of Global Centurion, and for years has been on the front lines of the battle against sex trafficking, pornography, violence against women, and sexual exploitation generally.  She is smart and fearless, two necessary traits in this line of work.

At the CONVERGENCE Summit we hosted this April in Baltimore, Laura convincingly connected the dots between pornography, sexualized culture, and sex trafficking for the audience of over 200 leaders from across the country.  Watch her brief presentation, and also listen to our interview with her this summer in partnership with Covenant Eyes.
