The Candy Shop

The Candy Shop is a 30-minute “fairytale about the sexual exploitation of children,” and it is an appropriately dark tale.  The creepy candy shop and it’s owner, as well as the neighbors and passersby, are a striking metaphor for the horror that is child sex trafficking.

Watch the trailer below, and connect with Street GRACE, an alliance of churches, community partners, and volunteers in Atlanta working to eradicate the trafficking of young women and girls in that city.  Our nation needs an alliance like Street GRACE in every major and mid-sized city.

As the line at the end of the trailer implies, it is the demand for commercial sex that traps so many women and girls in “the machine.”  If we are going to demand justice with respect to the crime of sex trafficking, we must work to end demand for it in our own homes, churches, and communities.  Read Exploited: Sex Trafficking, Porn Culture, and the Call to a Lifestyle of Justice for more on our take on this.
